The Iroquois Valley Harmonizers have been singing barbershop since 1999.   The Chorus consists of men from Rensselaer, Mt. Ayr, Remington, Raub, Porter, and Hanna in Indiana; and from Watseka, Milford, and Crescent City, Illinois.  We are truly a two state and two time zone chorus!

The Chous has performed at class reunions, church events, business meetings, holiday parties, fundraising concerts, nursing homes, and numerous other community events.  Each year we perform at the Little Cousin Jasper Festival in Rensselaer, and festivals in the Watseka and Crescent City areas.  The Harmonizers regularly perform at the Community Band Christmas Concert in Newton County.

In October 2000, the Harmonizers performed its first Annual Show in Rensselaer; and will celebrate its 15th consecutive Annual Show in October, 2014.  This year will also mark the 10th consecutive year that the show is performed in Watseka, IL.

The Chorus competes each year in the Chorus Plateau Contest at the Spring Convention of the Cardinal District (Indiana and Kentucky) of the Barbershop Harmony Society.  We won the Championship in Plateau A in 2002 and 2003, and in Plateau AA in 2008, 2009, and 2012.  In 2006, most members of the Chapter sang in the Northern Union chorus who won the Cardinal District Championship.  Northern Union competed in the Chorus Contest at the International Convention of the Barbershop Haermony Society held in July 2007 in Denver.

The Iroquois Valley Harmonizers also have barbershop quartets that have performed at numerous events and have competed at District contests, including the quartets 3 Shades of Khaki, Moody Lights, and Northside Edition.  Our senior quartet, Valley 4, was the 2007 Cardinal District Senior Quartet Champion.  Currently, the quartet Three Longs and a Short is active in performing and competing at  contests, and is the 2010 Cardinal District Senior Quartet Champion.
